This course explores these challenges and opportunities, combining theory with practical examples to give participants the tools to advocate for child-centered climate policies that protect, empower, and create brighter futures for all children.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Explain how climate change affects children.
  • Describe how measures to build climate resilience and mitigate climate change can benefit children.
  • Illustrate key instruments and good practices for empowering children to act on climate change.
  • Identify opportunities for protecting children’s rights in a changing climate.

To earn a certificate of completion, learners need to score at least 70% on the final quiz (with up to three attempts allowed). After meeting this requirement and paying the certificate fee (USD 10), learners can easily download their verifiable and authentic United Nations certificate from the “Certification” tab on the platform.
