Course Objective
The course aims to raise awareness about air pollution issues, its impacts on the environment and human health, as well as preventive measures and strategies to reduce its negative effects.
It introduces the main principles of international cooperation in maintaining clean air, as established under the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution, and highlights the most vulnerable aspects and challenges in this field.
Course Structure
The programme consists of four self-paced modules. Each module covers key provisions of the Convention and the obligations of the Parties to minimize the adverse effects of air pollution.
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
- Identify the main causes and sources of air pollution.
- Understand approaches to minimizing the impacts of harmful emissions.
- Recognize the foundations of international agreements on air quality protection.
Registration is required to enroll in the course.
Certificate
A certificate of completion is awarded to participants who successfully pass the course quizzes with a score of 70% or higher and submit a brief course review.
