A Visit by AFROSAI’S Women Academicians

The Office of the Auditor General of Kenia hosted a delegation of women academicians who participated in an immersion course covering various SAIs in Africa.

The program, conducted by the AFROSAI Women’s Leadership Academy, is aimed at building academic capacity in the area of control and quality assurance, as well as collecting best practices for effective implementation of reform projects. The Auditor General acts as the patron of the AFROSAI Women Academicians.

The delegation’s visit included participation in quality control and quality assurance processes, observation of audit procedures, sessions with quality assessors, and meetings with staff involved in various types of audits.

 Academicians also visited audit clients, Parliament and Transparency International to better understand the work of the Office and its partnerships.

This program is the second phase following the AFROSAI WLA workshop, which was held in Cameroon in September 2023.
