EUROSAI ITWG Held a Virtual Coffee Break with a Colleague
On January 21, 2022, the EUROSAI Information Technology Working Group (EUROSAI ITWG) held an informal online meeting on the digitalization of audit. An event named “Virtual coffee break with a colleague” was opened to all interested members of EUROSAI ITWG. The purpose of the meeting was a friendly communication and a discussion of issues of digital financial audit and the skills of auditors.
Mark Burford, the manager (Digital Financial Audit and Audit Technology Support) from UK NAO, shared his experience in using information technology to improve the efficiency and quality of audit. During the meeting, the issues of the auditors’ need to be provided with high-quality information technologies were discussed. Also, the attention of the participants was paid to the audit and operation of data and ways to maximize the use of data in the activities of the SAIs.
