Heads of SAIs Meeting within the Framework of the Three Seas Initiative

In December 2023 a meeting of the heads of the supreme audit institutions of the Three Seas Initiative was held in Warsaw.

The Three Seas Initiative is a regional cooperation format that brings together 12 member States of the European Union from Central and Eastern Europe (Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia). 

The aim of the initiative is to promote economic cooperation between the participating countries through the construction of cross-border infrastructure integrity in the field of transport, energy and digital infrastructure.

The heads of SAIs signed an agreement on partnership and cooperation, in which they expressed their readiness to conduct audits of public funds related to key investment projects, within the scope of audit powers, in accordance with the agreed work plans of their organizations.
