IDI “Together” Program Seminar Held at the office of SAI Turkey

In March 2023, the representatives of 11 SAIs who had terminated 6-week online IDI course “Together” on the human resources fundamentals gathered in Istanbul, at the office of SAI Turkey.

The goal was to finalize the different products that will assist them moving forward in enhancing their human resource governance practices, to improve SAI’s professionalism and performance.

During the workshop in Turkey, 11 SAIs were able to identify and discuss their human resource management strengths and weaknesses face-to-face and, based on this, develop recommendations that will be offered to SAIs’ management to improve their human resource management processes and systems. 

The most important priorities identified by the participants are:

• seeking greater autonomy in the dialogue with relevant stakeholders (such as public service agencies and the Ministry of Finance)
• review and update its HR management strategy in the light of the SAI’s overall strategy
• improving the competence and skills of employees responsible for HR processes
• development of individual employee development plans that correspond to the SAI’s competence system
• development of professional development plans for SAIs
• improvement of personnel performance management systems.
