OLACEFS Capacity Building Committee Meeting
In April 2023 the Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions of Latin America and the Caribbean (OLACEFS) held a meeting of the Committee on Capacity Building.
The topic of the meeting was “Training Personnel to Strengthen Global Governance and Supreme Audit Institutions”.
The event was held in an innovative format with training seminars conducted by specialists on cross-cutting topics related to the priorities of the Brazilian Presidency in INTOSAI: communication, applied research, inclusivity and equality of opportunity, sustainability, digital transformation and the fight against corruption.
The INTOSAI Capacity Building Committee and the INTOSAI Development Initiative, who also participated in this meeting, discussed the professionalization of SAIs with the participants, and stressed the importance of participating in such programs as “the Global Collaborative Audit for Climate Change Adaptation” (CCAA), “Audit for an Egalitarian Future” (AFI) and “Professional Training for SAIs and training of auditors” (PESA).
The OLACEFS task forces presented training achievements and projects in accordance with the Annual Operational Plan for 2023.
