OLACEFS Held a Webinar on Prevention of Wildlife Trade

The OLACEFS Technical Commission on Fighting Transnational Corruption held a virtual seminar on prevention of wildlife trafficking.

The Chairman of the OLACEFS Commission, Ms. Daniela Santana, stressed the importance of discussing the problem of illegal wildlife trade. The representative of the Brazilian SAI, Mr. Adriano Juras, spoke about the advantages of coordinated audits that contribute to the effective resolution of transnational issues. Mr. Ines Manzano presented the “Animalia” application developed by the Ecuadorian SAI, which gives the opportunity to complain on the illegal acquisition, possession and trade of wild animals.
