From August 9 to November 12, 2021 The World Trade Organization is launching the first online course on trade policy for Latin American countries. The program is attended by 23 representatives from 10 countries in the region. The course is aimed at improving the competence of participants on issues of multilateral trade, the role of the WTO in world trade, as well as to deepen their knowledge of topical issues of modern trade policy. The course aims to ensure that participants can still benefit from trade-related technical assistance services despite the COVID-19 pandemic. It reflects most of the learning components offered by full-time courses, including WTO agreements, the Organization’s rules and procedures, and regional trade policy issues.
Earlier the World Trade Organization has completed a regional online course on trade policy for African countries. The 14-week program was attended by representatives from 16 countries. During the course, participants learned about trade regulation within the WTO, as well as regional and other relevant issues of trade and trade policy.
