PASAI Runs HR Championship Training Program

The Pacific Association of Supreme Audit Institutions (PASAI) has launched a training program in human resource management (PASAI HR Championship).

A recent study conducted by PASAI has found that many SAIs in the region lack the resources to effectively manage their human resources systems.

To address this issue, PASAI has implemented a 5-year regional training program in collaboration with SAI Sweden. The program aims to empower SAIs’ HR departments and improve their performance.

During the first phase the PASAI has conducted training program for SAIs’ HR
for 18 months. The goal was to equip the heads of these departments with skills and knowledge.

Ms. Selai Managreve from SAI Tuvalu has shared her experience of participating in the program and discussed the benefits it has brought to SAI Tuvalu.

Some of them includes:

• Developing of a new HR strategy for the SAI.
• Updating of the recruitment policy.
• Creation of the comprehensive personnel policy for the SAI for
  the period 2024-2028.
