PASAI Summarizes the Results of the Seminars Held and Shares Plans for Further Development
At the end of July 2021, PASAI held two online workshops to support SAIs that integrated environmental audit into their work programs. The events focused on climate change and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The workshops enhanced participants’ awareness of sustainable development and the potential social and economic effects of government environmental programs on the wider community.
Materials used in the seminars are now available online. They include links to an interactive map that shows how different countries are progressing towards achieving the SDGs, as well as resources and training from the WGEA (INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Audit).
In the future, PASAI and the WGEA will support SAIs when conducting environmental audits. This support may include targeted training on plastic waste auditing, climate finance, or any other area of common interest in the region.
It is also planned to hold a series of seminars, the topics of which will be:
- SAI crisis management team methodology
- Human resource management
