SAI Azerbaijan Held a Scientific and Practical Conference on Sustainable Development

SAI Azerbaijan hosted the international scientific and practical conference “Sustainable Development. Responsibility. Transparency”.

The conference was attended by 150 representatives of international organizations, such as the European Federation of Accountants and Auditors (EFAA), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the supreme audit institutions  of 11 countries – Azerbaijan, Georgia, France, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Russia, Turkey.

During the conference, participants shared their experience in achieving sustainable development goals, as well as discussed the need to expand international relations in this area.

The increasing importance of public audit was noted, as well as the work done by the supreme audit institutions in the field of accountability and transparency.

In addition, the conference participants discussed issues of the regulatory framework, methodological support, international audit standards and audit planning.
