SAI Bulgaria Interagency Tools to Fight Corruption
At the beginning of 2024, SAI Bulgaria held a series of meetings with ministries and departments on the subject of joint cooperation in the field of anti-corruption.
At the meeting with representatives of the Center for the Study of Democracy, the idea of creating a Public Council was discussed, which would involve not only representatives of the professional community, but also non-governmental organizations, the media and other interested parties.
SAI Bulgaria agreed with representatives of the State Agency for National Security on more active cooperation in the field of information and cybersecurity, as the SAI processes data and stores information in connection with its audit activities.
In addition SAI Bulgaria, together with the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Commission for Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Property discussed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the institutions and the exchange of experience in the fight against corruption and conflicts of interest.
