SAI Finland and OECD Held a Webinar on Sustainable Development

 In April 2023, SAI Finland held a workshop with OECD representatives on sustainable development.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the risks associated with climate change, changes in the landscape of nature, issues of social inequality, as well as the impact of these factors on the national economy.

The participants placed special emphasis on auditing actions related to sustainable development, social and environmental sustainability.

OECD representatives suggested that auditors should pay particular attention to the financial risks associated with climate change and the effectiveness of actions supporting a “green” transition.

The panel session focused on the knowledge base of sustainable development goals and actions. During the discussion, the parties came to the conclusion that models are required that can simultaneously explore the goals of environmental and social sustainability and the cross-effects of actions.
