SAI Madagascar is Implementing TANTANA Project

SAI of the Republic of Madagascar is implementing a capacity-building project to improve the management of public funds.
The project, called TANTANA, is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and supported by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), as well as the supreme audit institutions of France, Morocco and Norway.
In Malagasy, TANTANA means ” Transparency & Accountability Through Audit of National Accounts”.
Within the framework of the TANTANA project, the SAI Madagascar has set a goal to successfully implement its strategic plan and achieve the following results:
- SAI Madagascar promotes the integrity, accountability and transparency of public authorities;
- The actions of SAI Madagascar are credible, visible and accessible to the general public;
- SAI Madagascar promotes culture of transparency and efficiency.
In February 2022, SAI Madagascar, in cooperation with the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI) and SAI Norway, organized a webinar within the TANTANA project.
During the webinar, experienced auditors from SAI Norway shared their experience in planning an efficiency audit. The purpose of this webinar was to strengthen the technical capabilities of the employees of the SAI regarding the principles of proper planning of the performance audit and the use of best practices in accordance with the ISSAI standards.
