SAI Mozambique and the World Bank Held a Training on Procurement and Procurement Audit

A support training on the topic “Basic training on procurement and procurement audit” was held in May 2021 in Maputo, within the framework of the existing partnership between the SAI of Mozambique and the World Bank.

The training was aimed at integrating the SAI of Mozambique into the World Bank’s procurement processes.

During the event the participants were taught to analyze properly the procurement processes and conduct audits to ensure that further analyses are performed on behalf of the World Bank.

The training consisted of three stages:

• Basic training: basic analysis of goods, activity and consulting services, theoretical aspects and practical exercises.
• Procurement audit training: conducting an audit in the field of procurement.
• Project training: conducting a procurement audit and preparing an appropriate audit report.
