TURKSAI – Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions of Turkic-Speaking Countries
Establishment
The first meeting of the Organization of supreme audit institutions of Turkic-speaking Countries (TURKSAI) was held in November 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey. Representatives from five countries participated in the event: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.
Goals
The main goal of TURKSAI is to strengthen cooperation and exchange of experience among participants.
Key areas of activity include:
- Conducting joint audits,
- Standardizing audit procedures,
- Training qualified personnel,
- Implementation of the digital technologies.
Chairmanship
The chairman of the organization is elected in alphabetical order for a term of three years.
The first chairman of TURKSAI is SAI Turkey.
Plans
Regular meetings of the heads of participating SAIs are held every three years.
At the first meeting of TURKSAI, it was decided to regularly hold joint educational programs and seminars in areas such as methodology for conducting various types of audits, artificial intelligence, big data analysis and audit of information systems.
