SAI Angola Participated in an Event Dedicated to the Role of Women in the Legal System

In March 2025, SAI Angola participated in the meeting dedicated to International Women’s Day, which was held under the theme “The role of women in the legal system”.  The event was organized by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Angola.

The participants of the meeting discussed key aspects of women in the legal profession.

Ms. Laurinda Cardoso, President of the Constitutional Court of Angola, noted that such meetings serve as a platform for demonstrating women’s ability to improve institutions and society. She also focused on the digital revolution, which opens up new opportunities for women in justice.

During the event, it was noted that the number of women in the highest courts of Angola is growing every year:

• The Constitutional Court has 5 women judges,
• The Supreme Court — 8,
• The Court of Accounts (SAI Angola) has 4 judges and about 244 women working in the office.
