SAI Libyan Cooperates with the United States Agency for International Development
As part of the cooperation agreement between the Libyan SAI and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), a working meeting was held between the Chairman of SAI Libya, Mr. Khaled Shakshak, and representatives of USAID and the US Embassy in Libya.
The parties discussed the consequences of the collapse of the Wadi Derna and Abu Mansour dams, as well as procedures for monitoring the distribution of international grants that will contribute to the reconstruction of the affected areas and ensure that they are fully operational.
In addition, a workshop on developing a risk-based operational plan was organized for the staff of SAI Libya as part of the capacity-building project of SAI Libya and the United States Agency for International Development.
During the training the parties developed a number of proposals to improve the organization’s further activities and develop an operational planning system.
At the end, the inspectors who successfully completed the training under the compliance audit program were awarded with certificates.
