SAI Mongolia Received Representatives of IDI and Asian Development Bank

Representatives of the INTOSAI Development Initiative and the Asian Development Bank paid a working visit to SAI Mongolia.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the leadership of the SAI Mongolia and representatives of relevant departments. The participants focused on evaluating the first stage of the project on best practices for auditing sustainable activities in the Asia-Pacific region.

Representatives of the INTOSAI Development Initiative and representatives of the Asian Development Bank met with officials of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development of Mongolia, with whom they exchanged views on performance audit issues.

It was noted that the Government of Mongolia paid special attention to the implementation of the SDGs. Cooperation related to the implementation of results-based planning and budgeting will be expanded from 2024. 

As part of the second phase of work to support sustainable performance auditing practices in the Asia-Pacific region, implemented in Mongolia, it is planned to implement the program in detail in six main areas in accordance with social and economic indicators.

Countries, including the development of strategic and annual audit plans, development of methodology and performance audit, audit quality management system, professional education, performance audit initiatives, performance audit results, and ready-to-use recommendations.
