SAI Morocco Received SAIs from the West African Economic and Monetary Union

In February 2025, the SAI of Morocco hosted a meeting with representatives of the SAIs of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA). The event was held in Rabat, Morocco.

Representatives of the SAIs from Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea-Bissau, Ivory Coast, Mali, Senegal and Togo participated in the event.

During the meeting, the participants got acquainted with the best practices and methods of the Moroccan model of external audit. The parties discussed new tools used for auditing and financial control, including digitalization and data analysis using artificial intelligence.

The main objective of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation between UEMOA SAIs and SAI Morocco. Cooperation between the organizations is aimed at developing the skills of effective public administration, increasing transparency and accountability on the African continent.
