SAI Netherlands Awarded the Prize for the Best Scientific Work 2025

SAI Netherlands announced the winners of the award for the best research 2025.
The award for the best survey is a part of the SAI’s focus on strengthening cooperation with universities and students.
The first place prize went to Ms. Christel van de Wal of the Open University of the Netherlands for her research on the impact of new technologies such as blockchain on central government. Ms. Van de Wal analyzed how safe these technologies are and to which scale they consider social values. The jury noted that the complex technical aspects of the work were presented in an accessible and understandable way. Christel is currently working as a Senior data Exchange inspector for the Dutch Consumer and Market Authority.
Second place went to Mr. Tijn Voerman from the Erasmus School of Economics with a dissertation on the impact of tax uncertainty on investment in Europe. Third place was granted to Ms. Eva Schreuder of Erasmus University Rotterdam for her research on sustainable agriculture.
