SAI New Zealand Prepared Materials for Students and Teachers

SAI New Zealand has developed training materials based on its audit reports to help students and teachers better understand the importance of auditing and its impact on society.

SAI created a thematic section of the site, where the materials presented are divided into three blocks:

1. General Auditor. This section contains a description and video materials about the role of the Auditor General, the history and significance of SAI. Users will be able to find out who held the post of Auditor General in the past and who represents it today.
2. The section “For students” presents four practical examples from the real activities of the department . These examples cover aspects such as the quality of drinking water, public objections to the sale of an airport, investigations into certain individuals, and the sale of a rugby stadium. Each case offers an opportunity for analysis and discussion.
3. “For teachers” section contains detailed descriptions of each example, as well as recommendations on how students and schoolchildren can learn useful lessons from them in everyday life.

The materials presented here fit seamlessly into the New Zealand curriculum, providing teachers with everything they need to learn effectively.
