SAI Paraguay Presented a Strategic Plan to Prevent Corruption
At the Central Bank of Paraguay, the Comptroller General of the Republic presented a strategic plan for the implementation of a National Regime of Honesty, Transparency and prevention of corruption.
Last December, a law was passed to empower the Paraguayan SAI to prevent corruption. In accordance with the new mandate, the SAI of Paraguay has prepared and presented a strategic plan for the prevention of corruption.
The plan consists of two parts, one of which deals with the prevention of corruption, the second – the mechanism of interaction with other organizations and citizens.
According to the new document, the SAI will be able to exercise new powers while maintaining its primary role. Thus, the SAIS of Paraguay ensures interaction between government agencies, civil society and international organizations, as well as promotes anti-corruption initiatives and increases government transparency.
In addition, the SAI of Paraguay has launched a national portal for the safe and confidential reporting of corruption facts, which is an important tool for the SAI in ensuring data protection and citizen support.
