SAIs of Chile and Guatemala Held a Workshop on Regional anti-corruption policies

In June 2022 in Panama-City (Panama) a workshop on regional anti-corruption policy was held for members of the Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS).
The event was organized by the SAI of the Republic of Chile, as Chairman of the Technical Commission for Combating Transnational Corruption of OLACEFS, together with the SAI of the Republic of Guatemala, which leads the Task Force for Developing Anti-Corruption Policies in the OLACEFS region.
The seminar was attended by employees of SAIs of Argentina, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Bolivia, Brazil, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and the United Arab Emirates, as well as members of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Good Financial Management Programme for the Central American Integration States System, and representatives of civil society organizations.
During the seminar, participants discussed the basics of regional policies for combating, preventing and combating corruption, thereby forming strategic and operational directions of the region’s policy. In the future, SAIs of Chile and Peru will analyze the needs of the SAIs for implementing the planned policy, which will determine the priority of action, that are necessary to be implement in the short term.
