SAIs of Germany and Finland Held a Conference on Fiscal Policy Audit Network

In September 2023, the SAI Germany, together with the SAI Finland, held the annual meeting of the Fiscal Policy Audit Network in Berlin.
The event was attended by about 40 employees from 17 EU member SAIs and the European Court of Auditors. The parties discussed aspects of the enforcement of EU financial regulations and the planned reform.
The main topics of discussion were the following:
- Sustainability of public finances in the European Union
- Significance and benefits of EU budget rules, proposals for reform of the European Commission
- Fiscal policy measures to combat crises and achieve climate goals
- Opportunities for cooperation between EU audit organizations.
