The World Happiness Report is an international research project of the United Nations to assess the quality of life of the population in 137 countries of the world.
The rating is based on the results of global Gallup Surveys (Gallup, Inc.), which show how satisfied people in different countries are with their lives.
The following indicators are taken into account when forming the rating: GDP per capita, life expectancy in the country, data on social support of citizens and respect for civil liberties, as well as the level of perception of corruption and public participation in charity. Each indicator is evaluated on a ten-point scale. All indicators add up and form a final assessment.
