Employees of SAI Marshall Islands were Trained in Performance Audit and Writing Reports
SAI of the Marshall Islands took part in the training in the field of performance audit and writing audit reports. The three-day training was conducted with the financial support of the US Department of the Interior. The training was designed for public audit professionals who are already successfully conducting and reporting performance audits, as well as for newly appointed inspectors who are just starting their careers.
By attending a three-day training, students received “24 hours of continuous learning”, thereby fulfilling the requirements of state audit standards (“Yellow Book”) developed by the US SAI.
These standards require auditors to complete 80 hours of continuous training every two years, of which 24 hours must be related to government auditing, or the environment in which the employee works.
