International Cooperation between SAIs of Brazil and Russia. New Courses on the U-INTOSAI Platform
In July 2021 Alexey Kudrin, the Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation and Ana Arraes the President of the Federal Court of Accounts of Brazil held an online meeting. One of the results of the meeting are two courses developed by SAI Brazil. The courses are already available on the U-INTOSAI platform and are waiting for new students.
The course “Sustainable Development Goals and Supreme Audit Institutions” will teach the students to:
- Identify the role of SAIs to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs);
- Understand the main characteristics of SDGs;
- Identify the role federal governments will play in this new agenda;
- Discuss and apply elements of a preparation audit.
A Course “Performance Audit” will tell students what performance auditing and audit cycle are. Apart from that, participants will get acquainted with such audit techniques as: stakeholder analysis, process mapping, SWOT analysis and risk verification.
At the end of the course, the students are expected to be able to accomplish a performance audit, using efficient techniques and useful working papers, and subsequently, to prepare audit reports to make clear communication of the work results to different stakeholders.
