SAI Kyrgyzstan Participated in the Conference on Cooperation with the Parliament

The SAIS Kyrgyzstan participated in a virtual conference on strengthening cooperation with the parliament in October 2022. The event is organized by the INTOSAI Development Initiative in cooperation with the Inter – Parliamentary Union, an international organization that serves to coordinate the activities of parliaments around the world.

The aim of the conference was to develop effective mechanisms for interaction between parliaments and SAIs, as well as to improve cooperation in order to increase audit impact and accountability. In particular, the following issues were discussed:

• how the relationship between SAIs and parliaments contributes to greater accountability
• issues of public participation to increase the capacity of supreme audit institutions.

The event was attended by the representatives of SAIs and parliaments of more than 100 countries.
