SAI Moldova Got the First International Expert Assessment

SAI Moldova initiated the first international expert assessment of the institution, which aimed to assess the situation in a number of aspects of the SAI’s activities. The exercise was conducted in the period 2020-2022 by a group of international experts led by SIGMA, a joint initiative of the European Commission and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

In October, SAI Moldova organized a round table on the results of the events held. The event was attended by representatives of the European Commission, the World Bank, the European Union, foreign embassies, employees of the Ministry of Finance and the State Chancellery of Moldova, as well as representatives of civil society and professional organizations.

The representatives of the European Commission and the World Bank congratulated SAI Moldova on the excellent results of the international assessment and stressed the compliance of its activities with the EU standards and best practices in the field of external public audit.

During the discussions, representatives of civil society noted the importance of using the results of the activities of the supreme financial control body by state bodies through proper implementation of audit recommendations.
