SAI Montenegro Conducted a Training on Integrity and Conflict of Interest

The staff of SAI Montenegro took part in a training on the topic of integrity and conflict of interest, which was conducted by officials of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption in the framework of the Strategic Plan for the Development of the SAI. During the event, procedures and practices for fulfilling legal obligations in the field of integrity and preventing conflicts of interest in the performance of public functions were presented.

SAI Montenegro noted that it had previously held a number of similar events in cooperation with the SAI of the Netherlands. In the next period, it is planned to conduct joint training with the Croatian SAI, which leads the EUROSAI ethics network.

The trainings will focus on the practical application of the INTOSAI Code of Ethics (ISSAI 130) and the audit of ethics in public sector bodies.
